Do I need to be tech-savvy to use Broiler Base Mate?

If you can take a photo and tap a green button, you're already qualified. The mobile reader has four tabs — Readings, Scan, Add and History. The Feed Program desktop view looks and works like a spreadsheet because it is one underneath, just live-synced. Most growers are up and running inside half an hour, and your kids or grandkids can be set up as readers for the shed walk-around.

Will it work with my processor's contract?

Yes. Broiler Base Mate ships with Baiada and Ingham contract formulas built in — FCR, corrected FCR at 2.45 kg, cage rating, efficiency rating and per-bird payment. If your processor uses a different slope, target weight or efficiency formula, drop us a note via the partner form and we'll add it for free. The maths is in code, not chiselled in stone.

What happens if my internet drops out mid-shed-walk?

Nothing. The mobile reader stores every silo reading, mortality count and feed docket on your phone first, then syncs to the cloud when reception comes back. You'll see a "📡 Offline — 3 queued" banner at the top so you know the readings are safe. The instant you're back in signal it flushes everything up automatically.

Is my farm data private and secure?

Yes. Your batch results, feed history and grower chat are walled off to your farm only. Every account is locked with Google sign-in or a magic link, no shared passwords. Backups run nightly. Your processor doesn't see your data unless you choose to share a PDF — what you grow, how you grow it, and what it cost stay in your kitchen.

How much does it cost?
